    Entrants will be able to print the following shipping materials online (an email will be sent to notify all entrants that these materials are available, typically on or around July 1):

    Shipping Labels

    • These black and white labels indicate that your shipment is for ACS Judging & Competition. You must affix these labels to the outside of your package(s) to clearly identify your shipment.  If you are shipping product for other conference related events, those labels will be sent to you separately.  Please print this document on AVERY 5126 or compatible labels and place on the OUTSIDE of your shipping box.  This document contains two shipping labels. Please affix one label to each box being shipped.  Please make as many copies as necessary to ensure one label is affixed to each box.  You may also print this on standard 8.5 x 11 paper and tape the label securely to the outside of your box(es).

    Packing Slip

    • IMPORTANT: Your packing slip must include the date of production for EACH entry. 
    • IMPORTANT: If you are withdrawing an entry, please strikethrough the entry name on your packing slip and indicate “Withdrawn” in the space next to that entry.  Please print this document on standard 8.5 x 11 copy paper and include a copy in EACH BOX being shipped.  Please indicate the number of items being shipped for each entry and be sure to include the date of production.  It is recommended that you make a copy of your packing slip for your own records.

    Competition Entry Labels

    • Please print this document on AVERY 5160 or other compatible label and place one on each piece/container of product being shipped. These labels are the sole identifier for your product during judging. It is important to label each entry according to your packing slip.  If you have multiple entries, please take extra care to make sure each piece has its correct label.  Each entry will have 15 labels in case you are shipping multiple pieces. Please place any leftover labels and your packing slip(s) in a plastic Ziploc bag and include with your shipment.  This will protect your documents from potential damage due to melting ice packs, leaks, etc.


    • Please be sure to include a “MASTER” packing slip and an individual “Box” packing slip in EACH BOX that is being shipped to the venue.  A “Master” packing slip will show the details for ALL entries that you are shipping.  The Master packing slip should be photocopied and placed inside each box being shipped.  A”Box” packing slip will show the details for the individual items in that particular box.  This will help us ensure we have the details for every product at receiving.
    • Remove any and all identifying product labels and marks from your competition cheeses. Any product with brands or labels on the packaging, or the product itself, will receive a 7 point deduction off of the technical score for that product.  
    • Send your cheese in its original form. Cheeses may not be plugged and/or resealed. Cheeses must be entered as whole wheels, loaves, or blocks. Exceptions will only be made for larger form cheeses, i.e. Emmental and Cheddar.  These cheeses must be presented in the form in which they are available for wholesale distribution.
    • Any cheese or dairy product under one pound of weight will require 1 retail case of samples, or a minimum of 6 pieces.
    • All product entered in the Judging & Competition will be displayed at the Brunch of Champions or the Festival of Cheese, both of which take place on Saturday, July 28 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Please Note: These events will only display cheese or cultured dairy products that have been entered into the 2018 ACS Judging & Competition.

    Please Note: Your product should be shipped to be received at the Pittsburgh Convention Center Friday, July 20 only.  Entries received prior to this date will be refused upon delivery and sent back to the entrant.

    Hand-Deliveries will be accepted between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the official receiving day.
